BOMnipotent v0.4.2 allows standalone setup

The server allows port adjustments and logging to file.

The easiest way to set up your BOMnipotent Server instance is via Docker Compose. The documentation contains instructions on how to do that, either with or without a reverse proxy.

However, if you prefer to run the server as a standalone application, you can now do so as well. With release v0.4.2 the server offers to modify to which ports it binds, and whether it logs to stdout or to a file. As everyone with some experience in the field knows, this setup is a bit trickier, but the documentation can guide you through the setup.

Much more has happened in the background, which has not directly resulted in a feature. The build steps were overhauled, the first performance tests have begun. Quality has been assured. This is because BOMnipotent is not a short-lived proof of concept, but a project made to last.

Oh, and marketing. So if you want faster feature development, share this with anyone who wants or needs to distribute SBOMs, Vulnerabilties and CSAF documents.
