Automatic backups with BOMnipotent v1.4.0
The new version introduces periodic tasks and allows the interaction with more CSAF providers.
The new year greeted me by destroying my server. I had to recreate it from scratch. Because I automate most everything this was a matter of minutes, but I took the opportunity to overhaul the backup strategy of BOMnipotent.
The server now offers the configuration of periodic tasks, for example a daily backup. Furthermore, the client offers to apply these backups.
Apart from that several smaller issues were improved. The CSAF standard names almost 10 entry points for the download. Yet some time-honoured German company took yet another route. For them the client can now directly be provided with the provider metadata URL as an argument.
